Authentic Models, Inc. wins visual display award

One of our favorite permanent showrooms in Atlanta's AmericasMart has won the Visual Display Award (VDA).  Authentic Models, Inc.'s showroom is one of twenty-nine exhibits receiving the award at this year's 2012 Gift & Home Furnishings Market. Award winners are determined by independent design and retail visual merchandising experts.

Authentic Models, Inc. features the global elegance of an old world library including European map prints, architectural details, and worn antique glasses. Some items featured in the showroom are beautifully handcrafted ship and airplane models. Product categories include furniture, lighting, nautical, flight, museum, globes and kids accessories.

The company was created more than 40 years ago in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Its collection, available only through dealers, is inspired by the age of exploration, maritime history, and cartography. Product focus is based on both the eclectic and aesthetic, at bringing "history and nostalgia to life."

AmericasMart Atlanta is the nation’s only global wholesale marketplace housing the world’s single-largest collection of home, gift, area rug and apparel merchandise. This year's Gift & Home Furnishings Market ends July 18.
