NEW WORLD ORDER contemplated by H. G. Wells

This sounds scary, but many of our former U. S. presidents have talked about The New World Order. Here is what H. G. Wells, a science fiction writer, wrote in 1940: "The loss of confidence and particularly confidence in the government and social order is already enormous. No one feels secure, in his job, in his services, in his savings, any longer. People lose confidence even in the money in their pockets. And human society is built on confidence. It cannot carry on without it."
