“Korean Americans for Pedro Marin” will hold a fundraising dinner on Thursday, October 4 at Sydney’s Buffet., 2131 Pleasant Hill Road in Duluth, Ga. State Representative "Pete" Marin (D) is in a re-election campaign for District 96 in Gwinnett County.
The organization voiced their support of Rep. Marin’s campaign because of his reputation for speaking out on behalf of immigrant families and minorities. He is one of the first Latinos to be elected to the Georgia General Assembly.
“Representative Marin’s opposing candidate will continue to propose and pass immigration laws in Georgia. Korean Americans, all immigrants and all minorities need a representative who will stand up for our rights,” said the "Korean Americans for Pedro Marin" organization in its press release.
