Opportunities in education not reverse discrimination

Whether you are for affirmative action and equal opportunity or against reverse discrimination, some universities still have programs in place to assist minorities. The term "reverse discrimination" refers to discrimination against members of a dominant or majority group in favor of members of a minority or historically disadvantaged group.

Here are some opportunities still available for non-majority students.

Harvard University is offering free tuition to families of low-income students. In 2004, Harvard inaugurated a financial aid initiative for low-income
students under which families with incomes below $40,000 paid nothing toward the cost of their child’s attendance. Just two years later (2006), this benefit was extended to families with incomes below $60,000 (current level). Beginning next fall (2012), this ceiling will be raised to $65,000.
