Prayer for Troy Davis

Dear God,

Time is drawing nigh for the state's execution of your son, Troy Davis. Since you are an all-powerful God, I pray that You will perform a miracle and spare his life. If it is Your will for him to become one with You in the spirit, then let Your will be done.

Lord, you are the ultimate judge. Even though Troy Davis has proclaimed his innocence, only you know the truth, and only you have the power over life and death. Please forgive us of all our sins. Please help us to love You more as well as our fellow man.

Have mercy upon us, have mercy upon us, is our prayer. Be with Troy through this ordeal and with us all as we try to sort out what is about to happen.
