After reading "The Kloran of the White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, Realm of Mississippi," I learned that the "terrors" are dedicated to battle and the cross symbolizes sacrifice. Klan members hold to Christianity, and the bible in their ceremonies is open to Roman 12:1.
