Cobb EMC Tripper Sharp to address new direction of board

Tripper Sharp, one of the newest directors on Cobb EMC's board, will speak at the monthly meeting of Cobb Alliance for Smart Energy, Tuesday, July 10 at the Rib Ranch, 2063 Canton Road in Marietta. Social hour will begin at 6 p.m. followed by the program at 7 p.m.

Sharp was one of the plaintiffs in the five-year long lawsuit of the embattled co-op.  After becoming a candidate for a director's slot in the 2012 election, he won and became one of the co-op's newest board members. The community will be able to hear his stance on the oversight of Cobb EMC's affairs going forward.

Cobb EMC owns power plants, dams, wires, and distribution lines.
